DIRECTOR

Welcome to Lumina Stage Academy, where creativity, passion, and performance come to life! Our Director, Jamie-Lee, brings extensive experience in the Performing Arts, having performed and directed numerous Musical Theatre productions across the UK. Jamie-Lee’s love for theatre is matched by her passion for working with like-minded students and teachers to create exciting, captivating performances.

Jamie-Lee began her journey in the Performing Arts at the age of 7, training in acting, singing, and dancing at performing arts school. She performed in professional theatre productions nationwide and was part of both a dance troupe and a singing troupe in her youth. This early immersion in performance ignited her passion for the arts and led her to pursue a career in teaching and directing.

As a young adult, Jamie-Lee became a Dance and Drama teacher at various performing arts schools, sharing her knowledge and fostering the talents of budding performers. She continued her formal education at The University of Chester, graduating in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies. Jamie-Lee’s teaching experience has taken her across the UK and to South Africa, where she taught Performing Arts, and further expanded her creative expertise.

Now, as the proud Director of Lumina Stage Academy, Jamie-Lee is excited about the future. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers and eagerly looks forward to the exciting opportunities the academy will offer to children, helping them grow and shine on stage.

CARLY COOK

SINGING TEACHER

Carly is a professional Musical Theatre Actress who was born and bred in North Wales. She trained in Musical Theatre at the Hammond School, graduating with distinction.

Stage Credits include; Marilyn/First Cover Cynthia in Beautiful the Carole King Musical (UK Tour), Lady Eleanor in A Comedy of Erics (New Vic Theatre), Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra), Angel in Heaven on Earth (Workshop), Gina in Heartbeat (UK Tour), Vocalist in Thursford Christmas Spectacular (2016 & 2018), Yvette in 'Maverick' (New Vic Theatre), Lead Vocalist/MC in ‘Exceptional’ - The Frozen Musical (Disneyland Paris), Lead Vocalist onboard Norwegian Cruise Lines.

Most recently, Carly has moved into the gigging world and spends most weekends performing at various events and theatres with a function band “The Wishlist” and the Fleetwood Mac Tribute “The Fleetwood Mac Experience”

Carly is so excited to share her passion of singing and performance with the children of Lumina Stage Academy and can’t wait to get started!

Rebekah bentley

Drama teacher

Rebekah is an actor-musician from Wrexham. She trained at the University of Central Lancashire, earning a First-Class degree in BA Acting and receiving the prestigious Luke Evans Memorial Award upon graduating in 2022.

Since then, Rebekah has worked across both stage and screen, featuring in a Christmas advert, a short film in partnership with Public Health Wales, and various Theatre in Education tours.

With seven years of experience teaching performing arts, Rebekah is passionate about nurturing young talent. She is excited to embark on this new chapter at Lumina Stage Academy and can’t wait to see her students grow into confident and skilled performers.

AMI FIELDING

Dance TEACHER

Ami began dancing at just 2 years old, training at Elite Academy of Performing Arts in Lichfield. Throughout her early years, she participated in numerous showcases, competitions, and festivals, culminating in a ballet solo performance at the prestigious Hackney Empire in London for the IDTA All England Finals.

In 2015, Ami was accepted into both The Royal Ballet School as a Junior Associate and Elmhurst Ballet School as a Young Dancer, attending their Saturday programs for two years. The following year, she performed in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

In 2017, Ami was awarded a scholarship to train at The Hammond School in Chester as a full-time boarding student on their dance course. Five years later, she received a further scholarship to continue her studies at The Hammond’s college program. By June this year, she will graduate with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance.

Ami is thrilled to begin her teaching career with Lumina Stage Academy, where she looks forward to sharing her knowledge, experience, and passion for dance with the next generation of performers.
